Cheerios is removing the stray wheat, rye and barle grains from the Cheerios' oat supply. The first ingredient in Cheerios is whole-grain oats. Oats are naturally gluten-free, but the general oats supply comes with small amounts of wheat, rye and barley that are introduced at the farm and during transportation. They have created a process that allows them to remove the wheat, rye, barley that are introduced at the farm and during transportation. Packages of Gluten-Free Cheerios will begin to be in stores by July and will fully be distributed by mid-September. packages will be labeled Gluten-Free on the label with a seal.
